The Sixth Annual Alumni Cypher

The Sixth Annual LFOD Alumni Cypher

We’re proud to present the Sixth Annual LFOD Alumni Cypher. This one’s a bit different, but the artists went as hard as ever.

Patrons can watch the full video right now.

The Alumni Cypher will premiere to the public on Tuesday’s edition of LFOD Radio. You can tune in at midnight on 91.5 FM in Boston, or stream here.

The video will premiere on Thursday at noon, below.

In the meantime, you may enjoy some of our past cyphers.

Artistry & Activism

It’s hard to even put into words how we’re all feeling right now. We wanted to have that conversation, though. What does it mean to be an artist right now? What are our roles in pushing social change? What can we do and how do we make a difference?

Rilla Force, Lightfoot, Brandie Blaze, CakeSwagg, Dart Adams, Kadeem, and Pronzy talk about all these things and more in the above video. There is also a transcript below, if that medium is better for you.

This is only the beginning of the convo… Let us know if you’d like to be involved in future talks, other topics you’d like to hear discussed, or information we could help you find. And please share with anyone you think could benefit from viewing.

Be safe,

Sam

LFOD Radio Ep. 175 (Season VI Finale)

LFOD Radio Ep. 174 (Featuring HelloSIXX & Miles Stone)

HelloSIXX and Miles Stone are two Atlanta artists with very different stories and likewise, different perspectives on the city. SIXX grew up in Atlanta & focused her energy on basketball through college, switching gears after graduation. Miles grew up in the North Carolina countryside and rode his trombone playing to a scholarship in the city, where he found his creative partners. Lots of game within!

We chopped it up with DJ Deadeye about what he’s learned in his 20 years in the game, observations on the current climate, advice to upcoming DJs, and what he’s got cooking for 2020. Healthy amount of Sean talk, too. RiP.

LFOD Radio Ep. 170 (Featuring E-Turn)

Hard to believe that just a few months ago, we were traveling around the country interviewing artists. In fact, Sam spoke to E-Turn exactly two months ago in Orlando, Florida after a show with her Fake Four compadres, Ceschi, Gregory Pepper, Bluebird, and Juanchi. Good people!

LFOD Radio Ep. 168 (Looking back at #24in24)

Three years ago today, we released our first album. That sentence feels like an understatement… Three years ago, we got 24 of our favorite artists together to record 24 songs in 24 hours and today is the three year anniversary of it’s release. We reached out to the artists involved, and here’s what they had to say looking back.

Quarantine Cookbook?

Cooking and eating used to come up so much on the show, that we joked about having a food-based spinoff… Well, maybe now’s a good time to start?

What are you cooking these days? What do you think would spice up people’s stay at home?

Let’s put something together.
