8.24.21 LFOD Radio – Hoop Hop Cypher!
We were at Hoop-Hop this weekend with the mobile stu – First time at an event & it went well! Solar panels were pulling over 400 watts as we powered the DJ booth & then we hosted our cypher as well. Huge shoutout to Bakari JB & everyone involved in making this year another success.
We’ve got the audio from our cypher in this week’s mix, along with some new Boston hip-hop and a few West Coast artists we met out in LA. Seems like we’ll be traveling quite a bit going forward. Got somewhere you want us to pull up?

We’re proud to present the Sixth Annual LFOD Alumni Cypher, featuring Brandie Blaze, Time & Lepp, Jon Hope, TonyWhiteDDM, Bakari JB, Everett Gibbons, Darius Heywood, YN Prop, Ryan Easter, Tim Nihan, Daniel Laurent, ANSON RAP$, Chatham The SUN, Bugout, Kay Wattz, Mark Merren, and Miles Stone. All of these MCs are past guests of LFOD Radio, so if someone catches your ear, click their name to learn more. Many have also appeared in past cyphers, as well.

The 2019 Alumni Cypher
We just wrapped up our annual Alumni Cypher Series and it was one of the best yet. The tradition is stronger than ever. For the fifth straight year, we invited all of our past guests back to rhyme live on-air with their fellow MCs. We had a different group each Tuesday in July & they all brought the heat!
None of this would have been possible without participation from the thriving artistic community in New England, which includes not only vocal artists, but the producers, graphic designers, photographers, and filmmakers behind the scenes, as well as the institutions that support them and create spaces and opportunities to thrive.
This year’s cyphers are brought to you by the Table Manners DJs & Wreck Shop Movement. Once again, the Beat Club Podcast has provided us with the beats. Producers, get hip to them if you haven’t.

Every July we invite all our past guests back to rhyme live on-air with their fellow MCs. This year we had four cyphers with over 20 artists. For the second year, we partnered with The Beat Club Podcast to provide them with instrumentals to flex on. Watch all four cyphers above and hear us recap our favorites below.
