LFOD Radio Ep. 97 (Featuring Jon Hope)

What better way to start 2018 off than with a shot of Hope? Jon Hope has been putting on for his hometown for quite a while now, so it’s only right that he was the first Rhode Island artist to join us on LFOD. He’s got a new EP out, Savage Beauty, as well as a book, a podcast of his own, and….well, tune in to find out. Great energy on this one & definitely an episode that we’ll look back on as the starting point for a lot of future endeavors. 2018. Let’s fucking go.

LFOD Radio Ep. 96 – The State of New England Hip-Hop (Pt. II)

For Part II of the State of New England Hip-Hop 2017, we heard from a few of our favorite artists. Both Latrell James and M-DOT were a part of last year’s discussion, and this year we brought Oompa into the mix as well. All three of them have been making major moves, so it was great to hear their views on the scene, as well as their response to Bedlam, Tim, and Dart’s discussion last week.

The future is bright.

Last year, we sat down with Tim Larew, Dart Adams, Bedlam, and Justice Born to discuss the state of New England Hip-Hop. This year, we returned with the same cast, minus Justice (he’ll be back soon), to see how we’ve done in the year since. If you haven’t heard the first one, we’d strongly suggest listening…and even if you have it’s worth revisiting. Gem after gem after gem. We’ll be back next week with the artists’ point of view.

LFOD Radio Ep. 95 (Featuring Casso)

It’s Blackout Season, if you didn’t know… Casso is back from his hiatus and flooding the scene with music, videos, skits, and more. It’s really not just a mixtape. We sat down with Blvck Morris & his Small World conglomerate this week for a rare peak behind the scenes.

LFOD Radio Ep. 94 (Featuring Justin Clancy)

At some point last year, Justin Clancy realized he had to shake his fear of failure if he was every going to have the success he wanted. And then he had to figure out who he actually was. What happened next was one of the most impressive transformations we’ve seen…And the response has been overwhelming. You can’t help but want to see him win.

LFOD Radio Ep. 93 (Featuring Tim Nihan)

It’s been almost two years since our first interview with Tim Nihan, so we had a lot to catch up on. He’s released a few EPs, a stream of singles, rocked countless stages, and continued to grow both as a person and an artist in the time that’s passed. It’s not like we haven’t kept in touch, though – he was on #24in24, the Alumni Cyphers, and performed at our first concert. Tim is the man. Press play & hear for yourself.

LFOD Radio Ep. 92 (Featuring Kyle Bent)

What has Kyle Bent been up to since we talked with him last spring? Just releasing a bunch of new music, launching an app and trying live in the present. We got philosophical, talked about our show together on Nov. 9th and compared his and Teya’s artistic journeys. You can find his music on iTunes and find him on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Boston DJ duo, SuperSmashBroz, know the talent their city has to offer. Show Review: Slaine VS Termanology

Another successful New England Hip-Hop event performed in the beautiful city of Manchester, NH! The legends, together as “Slaine VS Termanology”, embark on tour to promote their first studio album, Anti-Hero. In the past they’ve collaborated, but September 15th was the first time they came together live as the monstrous duo. As surprise to no one, both tore it down with constant command of the microphone and crowd interaction. What better place to kick off this east coast promo circuit than the thriving New Hampshire Hip-Hop scene?

Reminiscent of Lord Finesse VS Percee P, but a similar idea to Lil Wayne VS Drake, the tour showcases two battle-tested emcees that face-off & let the fans decide while also blessing the stage with solo classics of their own. With DJ Deadeye on the ones and twos, the duo brought along ST. da Squad generals Ea$y Money and Superstah Snuk, who themselves brought out surprise appearances from REKS and Artisin.

This JigsMusic show held at the intimate but roaring Jewel Night Club was hosted by the well-known freestyle fanatic, LB. The night was kept in motion by DJ Clashious Clay. Supporting acts DK, Problematik, and Champange Rod blessed the stage with memorable moments. The most memorable of the supporting acts was Jay Gudda, who jumped into the crowd to perform amongst his followers.

To stay in tune with the scene in real-time, be sure to link up with us on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. We also broadcast live ever Tuesday at 7pm on 91.5FM in Boston or streaming right here.
