We’re focused on building community amongst our collaborators, so artists often return for cyphers, live shows, and more.

LFOD Radio Ep. 115 (Featuring Block to Booth)

Block To Booth is on a mission to revolutionize the studio service experience by bringing it right to your front door. We met Sensei Swagg & Umazi at MECon 2018, where they first told us about their vision. It’s been dope watching it evolve since then, growing to include a web series and promotional platform for artists as well. With Season One filming this weekend, the timing was right to bring them in for a conversation. We also learned a bit about their individual backgrounds: Sensei’s adventures as a Brooklyn kid learning to rap, Umazi’s experience as an international activist, and how their two paths brought them together. The positive energy these two radiate is contagious…

The album explores new ground both sonically and emotionally so we dove into the motivations behind that shift, as well as the hazards of living with expectations. Though this is his first solo podcast, longtime listeners will remember Du-Karan from previous live appearances and for his role in launching our #ExtraBars series.
