LFOD Radio Ep. 105 (Featuring NBS)

Lots going on in this one – Sam & Teya recapped their time at #ThePullUpNE, while Tashawn reported back from The Black Cotton Club. We got a call from a long time listener with a controversial new record out, and legendary Cambridge Vets NBS dropped in to talk about their new album, touring the world, and the key to successful crowdsurfing.

LFOD Radio Ep. 102 (Featuring Anson Rap$)

This week we’re joined by Anson Rap$, the multi-talented painter, MC, photographer, and just genuinely dope individual. You may know him from one of his art shows or packing out Sonia with his friends. We dig a bit deeper into the man behind all this, as well as plans for releasing new music…he’s done all this with only one song on Soundcloud. Rest assured, there’s plenty more on the way though.

LFOD Radio Ep. 101 (Featuring Fresh Out the Mint)

We’re joined this week by RJ from Fresh Out the Mint. We talked about their pivot from radio to live events, goals for uplifting the scene, who he’s feeling right now, Twitter smoke with local artists and more. Tashawn also had some questions about artists’ accountability for their personal lives & how audiences should react.

LFOD Radio Ep. 100 (Featuring Noel Pancho)

We celebrated our 100th episode with Noel Pancho, formerly Fran-P, who has a new EP out (Stargazers) & just launched a podcast of his own! The Spanglish Podcast was inspired in part by his endeavor to listen to a new (to him) album every day – we got into what that was like, which album stood out to him, and what genre kept pulling him back. We also talked about love, hope, and his continuous quest for knowledge. Because if one thing is true, it’s that #PanchoKnows.

Darius Heywood is rock solid. He & long-time friend/collaborator Rauxy Woodro came through and talked about everything from their first project together, expectations for their next, and where they’re taking us to eat in Brockton. In between, Darius got very real about where he’s been, what he stands for, and what it takes to make it as an artist. Lots in here for both fans and fellow musicians.

Mista Irie, Nick, and MorShabazz from Mass Apparel came through with the goods! We talked about their place as a creative hub in our hip-hop scene, their mission, vision, and what to look out for in the weeks to come. The boys shared their favorite New England designers, artists, and more. Make sure to stop by next time you’re in Allston – you’ll leave with some fresh gear, and might even meet your favorite rapper while you’re there.

LFOD Radio Ep. 97 (Featuring Jon Hope)

What better way to start 2018 off than with a shot of Hope? Jon Hope has been putting on for his hometown for quite a while now, so it’s only right that he was the first Rhode Island artist to join us on LFOD. He’s got a new EP out, Savage Beauty, as well as a book, a podcast of his own, and….well, tune in to find out. Great energy on this one & definitely an episode that we’ll look back on as the starting point for a lot of future endeavors. 2018. Let’s fucking go.

LFOD Radio Ep. 96 – The State of New England Hip-Hop (Pt. II)

For Part II of the State of New England Hip-Hop 2017, we heard from a few of our favorite artists. Both Latrell James and M-DOT were a part of last year’s discussion, and this year we brought Oompa into the mix as well. All three of them have been making major moves, so it was great to hear their views on the scene, as well as their response to Bedlam, Tim, and Dart’s discussion last week.

The future is bright.
