On May 2nd, LFOD Life hosted LOUDER, Vol. 2, a Boston Hip-Hop Beat Show featuring Latrell James, Rain, EvillDewer and DJ TROY Frost. Each of them came to play & delivered top notch sets to those in attendance. Sets that you can now enjoy whenever you want!

We’re happy to announce that everyone’s performances are now streaming on our YouTube channel for your enjoyment. We recommend listening at a high volume in a residential area. Or if you’re the headphone type, we’d appreciate you sharing the links with your friends & fellow audiophiles. 

You’ll notice some rocking visuals throughout each video, and we’d like to thank PEA.COK for providing those all night long for us.   

This event was made possible with assistance from the Mass Cultural Council, who we’d like to thank along with The Beat Club Podcast, Lifted Smoking Goods, Clothes by Tomo, Topo Chico & Odessa. The year’s winding down, but we are not! In fact, it feels like we’re really just getting started. Excited to share this mix with ya’ll from DJ E Dubble, who you may know as host of The Launchpad on JAMN 94.5 & from his role as Joyner Lucas‘ tour DJ.

This one’s got a whole lot of Massachusetts on deck, including an exclusive record from G Nipsey. Saw a comment on E Dubble’s Instagram about how important the DJ is… That’s why we do this! Show him some love there and/or on Twitter if you’re feeling his mix.

We thought we’d put a mix together highlighting some of the 2021 Boston Music Award Nominees. There’s always a lot of commentary around the awards, but one thing is true – It’s a good time to get familiar with some new music! Maybe you know all these artists already, or maybe there’s a few new names – either way, hearing them all in one mix really shows just how much talent is bubbling in the scene right now.

Regardless of who made this list or that, anyone who made music this year should be proud of themselves. It takes a lot to express yourself with all that’s going on, and nothing about the last few years has been easy. We’re happy you’re here & happy you’re creating. What’d Drake say? First things first – Rest in peace Earl Simmons. This is one of those situations where what’s understood doesn’t need to be explained, so I’ll leave it at that.

We’ve had a lot of artists patiently waiting for us to spin their records, so that’s what this week’s mix is about. Last round of submissions was full of melodies – we kept it a bit more bar heavy this time around. Artists, you can hit us up whenever. In addition to these mixes, we have a weekly newsletter where we share your videos.
